Last week Mrs Thomas took a team of 7 Year 4 pupils to Garstang Community Academy, to take part in an inter school handball competition.

Overall the team gained 7 points over 3 matches which left them in second position in the table.

In our first match we lost 2-1 but we got more competitive as the game went on. We took this form into the final two matches, winning 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.

Our team got better and better with each match they played.  In the second match, Evie went in goal and made some important saves with all of the other team members working well together to move the ball down the pitch.  There was some excellent ball control and dribbling from Inge, and Callum was set up by Regan and Jack to score stunning goals.  With their new competitive edge, the children always maintained their fairness and sportsmanship throughout.  Our players were Evie, Suzie-Lou, Inge, Jack, Callum, Max and Regan.
