Things you need to be working on throughout year…

Year 6 is a challenging but fun year.  One of the things you will need to do is work hard both in and out of the classroom.  Throughout the year you will get weekly homework focused around maths, reading and spelling as well as a few larger projects to complete and share with the class.  The links and documents below will give you a head start on some of the things you will need to know in Year 6 (don’t leave everything until the last minute!).

Spelling – You will need to know all of the Year 3 / 4 and Year 5 / 6 words.  You can find these in the middle of your reading diary.  The words ticked are the ones you spelt correctly in our first week test for the Year 3 / 4 words.  Our Friday spelling test will consist of all the words that are remaining on our spelling board as well as two new ones. REMEMBER everyone in the class needs to get a particular word correct otherwise it stays on the board!  If you have lost your copy or left it at school you can access pdfs of them by clicking the links below.
