  • Learning in outside
Today the we collected lots of different size sticks from around our school grounds. We looked closely at the sticks and ordered them from smallest to largest. We then made different shapes using the sticks. We used our understanding of 2D shapes to help us.
    Mrs Thwaites - February 15, 2019
  • Acorn Cafe
The children thoroughly enjoyed making and serving their parents and grandparents at The Acorn Cafe yesterday. They had a choice or sandwich, juice and a handmade biscuit. The children designed their own menus and prepared all the food themselves.
    Mrs Thwaites - February 14, 2019
  • Snow and Ice
Acorn class have been taking full advantage of the snow and ice this week. They have enjoyed touching it, sweeping it, digging it, rolling in it and making snow angels. They also investigated how quick ice melts by setting up an ice experiment in and out of the classroom.
    Mrs Thwaites - January 31, 2019
  • Making Jam Sandwiches

    Mrs Thwaites - January 31, 2019
  • Making a bonfire
When learning about bonfire night and bonfire night safety and as part of forest schools, we lit a bonfire and toasted marshmallows. Yummy!
