We are really enjoying reading our class novel, The Highland Falcon Thief by M.G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman – we are making loads of predictions about who the jewel thief might be and finding out all about steam trains!
In Science we have been learning all about plants and how they grow. We have loved investigating how plants can transport water and what conditions they need to grow in.
We have had a great time tasting chocolate whilst studying our Fairtrade topic. We learnt all about where cacao plants grow focusing on Ghana and have followed the journey of the cacao beans all the way from the plants to when they are made into chocolate bars. We have found out all about the conditions some people work in, in countries like Ghana and discussed what fair means.
